Upon arrival at the magnificent Grand-Place, the imposing silhouette of the Town Hall inevitably captures attention. Built in the 15th century and expanded in the 18th century, this iconic building houses unique architectural and artistic treasures, witnesses to a rich and eventful history.
Heritage in Motion
As part of this heritage enhancement, the “Heritage in Motion” of the City Hall come to life, orchestrated by the Brussels acrobatic company Back Pocket. Four characters, playing roles such as alderman, advisor, or diplomat, will guide visitors through a tour filled with acrobatic and choreographic scenes. This dreamlike and immersive experience will highlight iconic locations such as the Council Chamber, the Mayor’s Office, the Alexander the Great Room, the Wedding Hall, and the Gothic Hall.
Back Pocket, a Brussels acrobatic company, brings its unique aesthetic to contemporary circus. Integrating dance and movement theater, the company values multidisciplinarity, technical virtuosity, accessibility, humor, and intelligence in its performances. Each creation by Back Pocket renews itself both aesthetically and substantively, feeding a dramaturgical narrative with acrobatic choreography.
